1. 主要用來(lái)表示“根據(jù)”某學(xué)說(shuō)、某書(shū)刊、某文件、某人所說(shuō)等或表示“按照”某法律、某規(guī)定、某慣例、某情況等:
According to the timetable, the train gets in at 8: 27. 根據(jù)時(shí)刻表,火車(chē)8:27進(jìn)站。
According to the weather forecast, we shall have rain tomorrow. 根據(jù)天氣預(yù)報(bào),明天會(huì)下雨。
According to John there will be a meeting next week. 據(jù)約翰說(shuō),下星期有個(gè)會(huì)議。
Each man will be paid according to his ability. 每個(gè)人將根據(jù)他的能力獲得報(bào)酬。
2. 表示“根據(jù)”、“按照”時(shí),主要用來(lái)引出狀語(yǔ),一般不用來(lái)引出表語(yǔ):
這本書(shū)是根據(jù)一個(gè)真實(shí)故事寫(xiě)的。
正:The book is based on a true story.
誤:The book is according to a true story.
當(dāng)它表示“合乎”、“符合”時(shí),可用來(lái)引出表語(yǔ):
It is not according to his nature to give praise. 他本性不喜歡頌揚(yáng)。
3. 其后一般不接 view (看法) 和 opinion (意見(jiàn)) 這類(lèi)詞,也不接表示第一人稱(chēng)的代詞 (me, us):
正:In my opinion, the film is wonderful. 依我看,這部電 影很不錯(cuò)。
誤:According to my opinion, the film is wonderful.
誤:According to me, the film is wonderful.
