421　hurt和harm

1　hurt 作及物動詞，表示“傷害，損害”，指肉體、自尊心、感情等的傷害，過去式和過去分詞都是hurt 。

He was hurt in an accident. 他在事故中受了傷。

He won't hurt you. 他不會傷害你的。

Did she hurt herself when she fell? 她跌倒時傷了自己沒有？

His words hurt her. 他的話傷害了她。（也可說hurt her feelings）

2　hurt 作不及物動詞，表示“疼，痛”。

My foot still hurts . 我的腳還在痛。

My tooth hurts badly. 我的牙痛得厲害。

The shoes hurts me. 鞋勒得我腳疼。

3　harm 為通俗用詞，著重指被傷害者有某種痛苦，對被傷害物造成損失，指具體或抽象傷害均可。

There was a fire in the street, but their house wasn't harmed at all. 街上發(fā)生了一場火災，但他們的房子絲毫沒有受損。

The storm did much harm to the crops. 風暴給莊稼帶來了嚴重損失。

There is no harm in trying. 不妨一試。
