97　all, both和each

1　all 意為“都”，強調(diào)整體，與復數(shù)名詞連用時，指三者或三者以上。all 還可以同單數(shù)可數(shù)名詞或不可數(shù)名詞連用。

We are all Chinese. 我們都是中國人。

All horses are animals. 所有的馬都是動物。

I wandered in the hills all afternoon. 我整個下午都在山里漫游。

2　both 意為“兩者都”。

They are both in Grade Three. 他們兩人都是3年級 。

Both of them are in Grade Three.

3　all 和both 都可以與限定詞the, these, my, your等連用。

All their houses were burned down. 他們所有的房屋都燒毀了。

Both these rooms are not big enough. 這兩個房間都不夠大。

4　each 意為“每一”，強調(diào)個別，指個體。

Each of them has a pen. 他們每人都有一支鋼筆。
