今天我們會給大家推薦一些英文的童書，童謠，繪本，故事書。

一.Reading Education for Children in English-Speaking Countries

英語國家兒童閱讀教育

Reading is a very important part of American children’s education and childhood.

重視小朋友紙質(zhì)書閱讀的能力the ability of reading paper books.

孩子們被鼓勵to read in school and at home，by themselves and with their parents（自己讀以及和父母共讀）。

Reading aloud is important. 大聲朗讀很重要。

There are often charity events and library events.經(jīng)常有鼓勵孩子閱讀的慈善活動或者圖書館活動。

《朗讀手冊》是美國家喻戶曉的書，里面強(qiáng)調(diào)了閱讀的重要性，并有很多的朗讀方法。

American schools don’t ask for memorizing. 美國學(xué)校沒有背誦文化。

English is phonetic.英語是拼音文字，靠背誦學(xué)習(xí)非常低效，最好的方式是大量的聽讀。

三、Short Picture Books Recommendation簡單繪本推薦

Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?

講的是Brown Bear和其他的animals，他們explore their world（探索世界）時，對世界的好奇。

這本書設(shè)計巧妙，給孩子一點(diǎn)線索，讓孩子在探索中，help them associate colors and meanings to objects，幫助小孩子將顏色和意義與物體聯(lián)系起來。

Goodnight Moon

Very famous bedtime story. 非常有名的睡前故事。

它講的是a young bunny在準(zhǔn)備睡覺前，say goodnight to everything in his room的故事，語言簡潔卻溫馨。

作者M(jìn)argaret Wise Brown的另一本書I Like Stars，也是一樣的風(fēng)格，重復(fù)簡單的句式，讀起來卻很美。

The Giving Tree

It is originally a long poem. 原本是一首長詩。

它講的是the life of an apple tree and a boy，他們慢慢成為good friends，一起成長。

The Very Hungry Caterpillar

這本書講的是a very hungrycaterpillar通過吃很多食物，最后itturns into abutterfly的故事。

很受小朋友喜歡，因為他們也想像caterpillar一樣，能夠吃穿很多食物。

From Head to Toe

Same author asThe Very Hungry Caterpillar.和《好餓好餓的毛毛蟲》是一個作者。

書中的動物們會讓小朋友們copy their actions as they play。跟著做動作。

四、Series Books Recommendation英文故事叢書推薦

Kids’ books to read (1st-3rd grade)適合1-3年級孩子閱讀

Arthur books

There are 27 books total. 總共有27本。

There is a TV show based on the books. 有根據(jù)書拍的動畫。

講的是一只叫Arthur的aardvark（土豚）和家人朋友 going on all kinds of adventures（冒險）的故事。

Berenstein Bears

It is about a family of bears that go on adventures together. 一家子熊一起冒險的故事。

Kids’ books to read (4th or 5th grade)適合4、5年級孩子閱讀

（*這里說的是美國的四、五年級，中國的孩子差不多是初中，當(dāng)然，要依據(jù)孩子的英語水平進(jìn)行選書）

Magic School Bus《神奇校車》

It is both books and a TV show. 有書籍，也有動畫。

A magic school bus帶著師生去很多地方學(xué)習(xí)science（科學(xué)）.

It is very fun and imaginative. 非常有想象力。

Magic Tree House《神奇樹屋》

Jack and Annie發(fā)現(xiàn)了a tree house，他們能夠通過這個書屋go on adventures in different parts of history，并在神奇的穿梭中學(xué)習(xí)。

對比以上兩個系列的叢書，Magic School Bus更偏向于自然科學(xué)，而Magic Tree House更傾向于人文。

Junie B Jones

Junie B. Jones是一個 "almost six-year-old" girl，書中講了her adventures in kindergarten and first grade（從幼兒園到一年級的冒險故事）。
