贊同、反對(duì)和妥協(xié)　Agreeing, Disagreeing, and Compromising

在日常生活中，我們要接觸各種類型的人，當(dāng)然也包括要接觸（in contact）那些不同類型的人和想法不一樣的人。不贊同并不是要聲嘶力竭、怒發(fā)沖冠。和一個(gè)與你觀點(diǎn)背道而馳的人彬彬有禮（polite）地討論是需要技巧和實(shí)踐鍛煉的（skill and practice）。

表達(dá)贊同

贊同別人的觀點(diǎn)，除了可以說(shuō)“I agree with you”以外，還有其他很多種說(shuō)法。你也可以用“absolutely”“exactly”“no doubt”等副詞或短語(yǔ)來(lái)增強(qiáng)肯定語(yǔ)氣。

☉I agree with you 100 percent.That’s so true.

我百分之百贊同，那是正確無(wú)誤的。

☉I couldn't agree with you more.

我完全贊同您。

☉Tell me about it！

給我說(shuō)說(shuō)吧。

☉No doubt about it.You're absolutely right.

表達(dá)不贊同

給別人表述觀點(diǎn)（speak his mind）的機(jī)會(huì)。傾聽(tīng)會(huì)讓你把注意力集中（focus on）到對(duì)話的內(nèi)容上。即便你根本不同意對(duì)方的觀點(diǎn)，你也要通過(guò)積極關(guān)注（being attentive）來(lái)表達(dá)你的尊敬。

行不通，我完全反對(duì)。

☉I’m not so sure about that.That’s not always the case.

打斷

平心靜氣地討論，不要指名道姓，惡語(yǔ)中傷。要溫和體貼（courteous and consideration），引導(dǎo)對(duì)方向你的觀點(diǎn)靠攏，在甩出自己的觀點(diǎn)時(shí)也要兼顧對(duì)方的感受。退出的時(shí)候要做到承上啟下，保持禮貌。

妥協(xié)或轉(zhuǎn)換話題

當(dāng)討論迷失方向（leading nowhere）時(shí)就該轉(zhuǎn)換話題了。如果雙方都已掃興就沒(méi)有必要繼續(xù)下去了。禮貌地請(qǐng)求對(duì)方或者自己主動(dòng)換一個(gè)有趣的話題，也可以直接說(shuō)想休息一下。

☉Let's just move on, shall we?

讓我們談些別的，行嗎？

☉Let's drop it.

讓我們先到此為止吧。

☉I think we're going to have to agree to disagree.

我想我們只好各持己見(jiàn)了。

總結(jié)

“理不辯則不明”，無(wú)論你是否贊同對(duì)方的觀點(diǎn)，都應(yīng)當(dāng)是“君子之爭(zhēng)”。要?jiǎng)e人心悅誠(chéng)服，就得先當(dāng)謙謙君子，以理服人。即便是不贊同別人的觀點(diǎn)，也要認(rèn)真傾聽(tīng)，理解其出發(fā)點(diǎn)。如果沒(méi)有談下去的必要，就審時(shí)度勢(shì)，調(diào)整話題，畢竟“友誼第一”。

B：I'm afraid I disagree. Maybe in last year's real estate market you might be able to load off a fixer-upper. But that's not always true in today's economic climate.Nowadays people are more selective.

A：I'd say the exact opposite. The economic downturn is the perfect time for people to pick up foreclosed properties at a fraction of their actual value. Investment in real estate is hot right now.We've got to move on this property or we're gonna be outta luck.

B：Not necessarily. I still think we should wait.
