Facebook has compiled with an order to block the accounts of some supporters of the Brazilian president Jair Bolsonaro, who are accused of spreading lies about supreme court judges. The social media platform said it was extreme measure that threatened freedom of speech and said it will appeal.

TikTok has said that the Chinese-owned video sharing app is here for the long run, after president Donald Trump said he will ban it in the U.S. Mr. Trump said he could sign an executive order as early as Saturday amid concerns the app could be used to collect America's personal data.
