英語(yǔ)早間課堂:你是黑羊嗎?

今天放學(xué)后，Alice和陸明不期而遇走到了一起，看到了Dick。由于Dick家中富裕，要什么就有什么，揮金如土。像這樣富貴弟子學(xué)習(xí)就更別提了。Alice評(píng)論Dick時(shí)，說了一個(gè)詞，這個(gè)詞是關(guān)于動(dòng)物的，這讓陸明納悶許久。陸明心想自己聽說過黑馬，黑馬就是藏在人群中要成大器的人?？蓮膩硪矝]聽說過Alice提到的這個(gè)黑色的動(dòng)物，那么Alice提到的是什么黑色的動(dòng)物呢?我們不妨先來聽聽陸明和Alice在放學(xué)的路上的談話內(nèi)容。

Alice : Dick is a black sheep.

迪克是black sheep.

Luming : Black sheep? What's that, Alice? Black sheep?

(難道是黑羊不成?)Alice，那時(shí)什么意思呀?

Alice : The black sheep means the " bad person " in the family.

這里的“黑羊”就是你們漢語(yǔ)中的害群之馬，家中的敗家子。

Luming : Very bad.

真不好。

Alice : As far as I am concerned, Dick is always bringing trouble to his family. All he does is drinking, gambling, and chasing foxy girls, let alone his study how terrible it is.

據(jù)我所知，他老是給家人帶來麻煩。他成天就是吃喝嫖賭，甭提他的學(xué)習(xí)有多糟糕了。

陸明現(xiàn)在知道了“black sheep”的字面意思是“黑羊”，實(shí)際上就是我們中文中經(jīng)常講到的“敗家子”“害群之馬”“不肖子孫”，指家中的一類。 正如Alice所言, it means " a person who is different, in a bad sense, from the rest of his family"那么，我們?cè)趤砜磶讉€(gè)例子來熟悉Black Sheep這個(gè)習(xí)語(yǔ)的意思。
