This morning I would like to share a sentence pattern with you which is : Somebody does as if somebody did. 這個句式表達的意思是：某人.......，好像.......。

Let's make a sentence to get grasp of it. Look at this one: He talks as if he knew everything. 他夸夸其談，好像世界上的事兒他無所不知。

In this sentence, as if is an idiom. It's used to describe somebody or something looks like. It means " in a way that suggests something ". It can be used to introduce a clause which is called a predicative clause. However, some grammar specialists think it is an adverbial clause. No matter it is a predictive clause or an adverbial clause, it's fine that we keep this sentence pattern in our mind and we can use it when we want to describe something is with appearance of something. And do remember subjunctive must be used in the predicative clause.

在這個句子中as if 是一個慣用語，它用于描述某物或者是某人看上去如何。它可以用于引導(dǎo)一個從句，這個從句稱為“表語從句”，但是也有專家認為它是“狀語從句”。那么，不管它是表語從句還是狀語從句，我們記住這個句型就行了，當您要描述某物看上去如何時，某人看起來如何，您不妨用上這個句型。但是一定要記住在這個表語從句中要使用虛擬語氣。今天我們要講到的是對現(xiàn)在情況的一種虛擬，那么大家可以看看上面的那個句子，主句是he talks, 謂語是talks, 使用的是一般現(xiàn)在時;從句是：as if he knew everything, 謂語是：knew，使用的是一般過去時。由此可見，如果是對現(xiàn)在情況的一種主觀認為(非客觀事實)，表語從句要使用一般過去時。
