盡管正直的人所有甚少要好過(guò)許多邪惡的富人;
For the arms of the wicked shall be broken, But the Lord upholdeth the righteous.
邪惡之人的武器必將折斷,但是上帝維護(hù)正義。
The Lord knoweth the days of the upright, And their inheritance shall be forever;
上帝曉得正直人過(guò)的日子,他們繼承來(lái)的產(chǎn)業(yè)永遠(yuǎn)牢固;
They shall not be ashamed in the evil time, And in the days of famine they shall be satisfied.
他們不必為危難時(shí)蒙羞,就是在饑饉的日子,他們也能得到滿(mǎn)足。
But the wicked shall perish, And the enemies of the Lord shall be as the fat of lambs;
邪惡之人終將滅亡,上帝的敵人不過(guò)是羔羊的油脂;
They shall consume; into smoke shall they consume away.
他們會(huì)被吃掉,或者化為灰煙。
The wicked borroweth, and payeth not again; But the righteous sheweth mercy and giveth.
邪惡之人借貸,從不償還;正直的人以德報(bào)怨,還復(fù)給予。
For such as be blessed of him shall inherit the earth.
得到上帝賜福的,必將繼承土地的饒富。
The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, And he delighteth in his way;
好人的腳步又上帝來(lái)定,他高高興興走自己的路;
Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down; For the Lord upholdeth him with his hand.
雖然他跌倒了,但不會(huì)完全倒下;因?yàn)樯系塾檬謱⑺凶 ?/p>
I have been young, and now am old, Yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, Nor his seed begging bread.
我也曾年輕,現(xiàn)在老去了,從未見(jiàn)過(guò)正直的人被棄之不顧,他的后人也不會(huì)乞食。
