This old cable pulley has quite a lot of give in it which means that it sags. 這個(gè)老舊的滑索松了不少 有點(diǎn)下垂了

Get rid of that.The sag should arrest my slide what I don't know is how far I'll get. 把這個(gè)拿開 下垂的滑索會(huì)控制住我滑行的速度 也就是說 我不確定能走多遠(yuǎn)

And actually, you know, with a bit of rope like this,you can improvise a harness very easily. 事實(shí)上 憑借這么一段繩索 你可以輕而易舉的制作繩套了

Just do a triple bowline in it,and that will act as two leg loops a chest loop. 打三個(gè)單套結(jié)就好 兩個(gè)套到腿上 一個(gè)圍到胸部

A bowline harness like this is often used by mountain rescue because it's fast and simple to make. 就如同這樣 好比降落背帶 在山地營救時(shí)很常用 因?yàn)橹谱髌饋砗啽?快捷

Make the loop.The rabbit comes out of the hole.That's how I always remember it. 打上一個(gè)圈 兔子穿洞過 口訣我記得可清楚了

Around the tree and then back down the hole. 繞樹一圈再穿洞

And then you can literally just step into that. 然后只要鉆進(jìn)圈中即可

This one comes over your top. 這個(gè)從頭上套過來

And then, for this bit, we'll just thread that through.Okay. 然后 把繩子繞到滑索上 搞定

The rest of this,we'll just bunch up and put in the rucksack. 剩下的這些 卷起來裝進(jìn)背包

The last thing you want to be doing in this sort of terrain is cutting up your rope too much. 在這樣的艱難條件下 你最不愿做的事就是 用去太多的繩索
