杰夫的一天 第109期：睡前準(zhǔn)備和睡覺講解(1)

"At 10:30, I decide to get ready for bed," to do the things I need to do so I can go to sleep. “晚上10:30，我決定上床睡覺，”做我需要做的事情，這樣我就能上床睡覺。

"When I was little, my mother would read me a bedtime story." “在我小的時(shí)候，我媽媽會給我讀睡前故事。”

Bedtime, "bedtime," (all one word) is, of course, the time that you go to bed — that you go to your bed so you can sleep. 就寢時(shí)間(bedtime)(一個(gè)詞)當(dāng)然是你上床睡覺的時(shí)間——你上了床這樣你才能睡覺。

A bedtime story is a story you would tell a child to help them fall asleep. 睡前故事是你講給孩子聽的幫助他們?nèi)胨墓适隆?/p>

Many children like to be told a bedtime story. 很多孩子都喜歡聽睡前故事。

These are often what we would call fairy tales, "fairy" tales, "tales." 這些故事也就是我們常說的童話(fairy tales)。

A tale is just another word for a story, and a fairy tale is a story about something that isn't true, usually with imaginary characters. “Tale”是另一個(gè)表示“故事”的詞，童話不是真實(shí)的故事，里面的人物通常是虛構(gòu)的。

"I'm looking forward to having that ritual with my own kids someday." “我期待以后也能和我的孩子有這樣的慣例。”
