Fridge, "fridge," is another way of saying refrigerator — it's a short way of saying refrigerator. “Fridge”是冰箱的另一種叫法——它是冰箱的簡稱。

The fridge is where you put food to keep it cold. 冰箱是冷藏食物的地方。

So, my fridge is empty which means I don't have any food, so I decide to go to the market. 因此，“我的冰箱空了”的意思是“冰箱里沒有食物了”，因此我決定到市場去。

The market here means the supermarket, a place where you can buy food, 市場在這里是指超級市場，可以購買食物的地方，

or it could be a smaller market, what we might call a corner market; that would be a small store. 或者它可能是個小型市場，我們稱之為街角市場;也就是小型商店。

Often, they are located at the intersection — at the corner of two streets. 它們常常坐落在十字路口——兩條街道相交的角落。

I get to the market and I pick up some food. 我趕到超級市場后，拿了一些食物。

If you are lazy, like me, this is a very good way to get some good food, and it is not very expensive. 如果你和我一樣很懶，這是個獲得好吃食物的好方法，而且還不會特別地貴。
