杰夫的一天 第2期:起床講解(1)

Our story begins by me describing how much I do not like getting up. 故事的開始是我在描述我有多么討厭起床。

To get up means to get out of your bed, to stand up after you have been lying down on a bed. 起床的意思就是離開床,即在床上躺了一段時(shí)間以后站起來(lái)。

I say that, "The worst part of my day is when I have to get up. 我說(shuō)的是“對(duì)我來(lái)說(shuō)，一天中最糟糕的事情莫過(guò)于起床了。

Waking up, that I can handle?" To wake up, "wake up," (two words) means that you are sleeping and you stop sleeping and now you are awake. 醒來(lái)，我倒是可以。”。醒來(lái),“wake up”(兩個(gè)單詞)的意思是你在睡覺,然后你停止睡覺,這樣你就醒著了。

The verb is to wake up. So, you can wake up while you are in bed, and then, you get up--you stand up after lying down. 動(dòng)詞表達(dá)是醒來(lái)。所以,你在睡覺的時(shí)候會(huì)醒來(lái),然后你就會(huì)起床——躺下一段時(shí)間后站起來(lái)。

I said that "waking up" is something "I can handle" 我說(shuō)“醒來(lái)”是“我可以做到”的事情。

To handle, "handle," here means to be able to control--something that I can manage--something that I can accept; it's not a problem. 做到,“handle”在這里的意思是能夠控制----我能處理的事情----我能接受的事情：那不是問(wèn)題。

Another expression would be something I can deal with. 另一種表達(dá)是我能處理的事情。

To deal, "deal," with something is the same, in this case, as to be able to handle something. 處理,在這個(gè)語(yǔ)境中,“deal”某件事與做到某件事的意思相同。
