露西的一天 第105期:準備上床睡覺講解(1)

Episode ten is called "Getting Ready for Bed and Going to Sleep." 第十集的標題是“準備上床睡覺”。

Lucy begins by saying that she is "feeling pretty tired," or very tired, "by 11:00" and decides "to get ready for bed." 露西開始時說到11:00時，她“感到非常累”或者很累，決定要“準備睡覺”了。

She goes into her "bathroom to take off" her "make-up." 她去“浴室” 卸掉她的“妝容”。

To take off means to remove or to get rid of her make-up. 卸妝就是去掉臉上的化妝品。

She uses "a cleanser to wash" her "face," and then dries "it with a towel." 她用“洗面奶洗”她的“臉”，然后“用毛巾擦干”。

A cleanser, "cleanser," comes from the word clean, "clean." “清潔劑”來自“干凈”這個單詞。

It means something that you use to clean your face, in this example. 在這個例子中指的是洗臉用的東西。

You could also have a cleanser that cleaned other things. 你也可以使用清潔劑清潔別的東西。

But here, we use it to describe a liquid that you put on your face, kind of like a soap that helps clean your face, and that's called a cleanser. 但是這里，我們指的是你涂抹在臉上的一種液體，有點像香皂可以幫助潔面，這就是所謂的“洗面奶”。

After Lucy washes her face with the cleanser, she then dries "it with a towel," "towel." 露西用洗面奶洗完臉后，她用 “毛巾擦干”。

A towel is a piece of cloth or material that you use to dry things with. 毛巾就是用來擦干東西的一塊布或者布料。

When Lucy is finished drying her face, she puts on "some toner," "toner." 露西擦完臉后，涂了一些“潤膚水”。

Toner is a liquid that women put on their face, usually just women. 它是涂抹在臉上的，女性專用的一種液體。

The liquid is supposed to make the skin on a woman's face softer, and also a little bit firmer -a little bit tighter. 人們通常認為，這種液體讓女性臉上皮膚更柔軟，也稍微緊實一些。

This is something women do at night after they have cleaned their face, I think. 我想，這是女性在晚上洗完臉后做的事情。
