露西的一天 第64期:工作與午餐講解(1)

Episode six is called "At My Desk and at Lunch." 第六課叫做“工作與午餐”。

When we say we are at our desk, we mean we are sitting next to or by our desk. 當(dāng)我們說(shuō)在辦公桌前時(shí)，我們的意思是我們坐在桌子旁邊或桌子前。

Lucy gets to the office and sits down at her desk. 露西來(lái)到辦公室，坐在她的辦公桌前。

She shares "a cubicle with another employee." 她“和另一個(gè)雇員”“共用一個(gè)小隔間”。

A cubicle, "cubicle," is a small space in a big office where you have walls that divide the different employees. 隔間(cubicle)，是大辦公室里的一個(gè)小空間，大辦公室里可以用墻隔開(kāi)不同的員工。

They don't have a separate office; they don't usually have a door, but they do have walls - three walls around them so they have some privacy - they have some quiet to work. 他們沒(méi)有單獨(dú)的辦公室;他們通常沒(méi)有門(mén)，但有墻——圍繞員工的三面墻，所以他們有一些隱私——他們可以安靜地工作。

But, the cubicles are in a larger office, so it's like a small part of an office that one person can work at or two people can work at. 但是，小隔間在更大的辦公室里，所以它就像辦公室的一小部分，可以供一兩個(gè)人工作。
