In this story, Lucy walks to the subway station. 在這個(gè)故事中，露西步行到地鐵站。

A station, "station," is a place where you can get on and off the subway; that's called a subway station. 車站(station)是一個(gè)你上下地鐵的地方;那叫做地鐵站。

To get into the subway station, Lucy swipes her monthly pass. 進(jìn)地鐵站，露西刷了月票。

To swipe, "swipe," means to take a card, such as a credit card, and to put it through a machine very quickly 刷(swipe)的意思是拿一張卡，比如一張信用卡，然后很快地把它劃過(guò)機(jī)器，

A pass is like a ticket; it's a ticket for an entire month - for thirty days. 月票是一張票;這是一張可以用整整一個(gè)月的票——30天。

So, she swipes the card through the card reader, we would call it, and that card is her monthly pass. 所以，她在讀卡器上刷卡，那張卡就是她的月票。
