A closet, "closet," is a space in your bedroom where you can keep your clothes. 壁櫥(closet)是臥室里可以放衣服的地方。

The clothes that you put in a closet are usually ones that you hang, "hang." 放在壁櫥里的衣服通常都是掛起來(hang)的。

To hang your clothes means to put them on something so that the clothes are not folded, they are vertical and they are hanging down from a bar - a pole that is at the top of your closet. 把衣服掛起來，是指把衣服放在某個東西上，這樣衣服就不是疊起來放的，它們是豎直掛在一根桿子上垂下來的，這根桿子在衣柜頂部。

The thing you put your clothes on is called a hanger, "hanger." 你掛衣服的那個東西叫做衣架(hanger)。

So, you put your clothes, or you hang your clothes on a clothes hanger, and you put them into your closet. 所以，你把衣服放在或者掛在衣架上，然后把它們放進(jìn)衣櫥里。

Closets can also just be places to store things - places to keep things. 衣櫥也可以是儲存東西的地方，用來放東西。
