　　call up 打電話

　　口語(yǔ)中表示“給某人打電話”。一般可以用作 call up somebody to+動(dòng)詞或 call up somebody+ 動(dòng)詞的形式。

　　例句：

　　Why don't you just call up Helen and invite her over?

　　你怎么不給海倫打電話邀請(qǐng)她？

　　Call up Tom and tell him we're coming over.

　　給湯姆打電話，跟他說(shuō)我們馬上到。

　　I'd like to call up Cindy to talk about that.
