751　倒裝——否定性副詞位于句首時(shí)

① 下列三類(lèi)否定詞位于句首時(shí)要倒裝。

（1）否定副詞：

never（從不），hardly（=scarcely幾乎不），seldom（很少），little（幾乎不），rarely（很少）

（2）否定副詞短語(yǔ)：

by no means（絕對(duì)不），in no way（絕對(duì)不），under no circumstances（在任何情況下都不）

（3）否定副詞從句：

not until he came（直到他來(lái)），only when he came（只到他來(lái)的時(shí)候），only after he came（只到他來(lái)之后）

② 正確的倒裝結(jié)構(gòu)

（1）主語(yǔ)+be動(dòng)詞→be動(dòng)詞+主語(yǔ)

He is never interested in sports.

Never he is interested in sports.

Never is he interested in sports.

他對(duì)體育運(yùn)動(dòng)從不感興趣。

（2）主語(yǔ)+情態(tài)動(dòng)詞或will，shall等→情態(tài)動(dòng)詞或will，shall等+主語(yǔ)

He can by no means handle it.

By no means he can handle it.

By no means can he handle it.

他絕無(wú)能力處理那件事。

（3）主語(yǔ)+動(dòng)詞→do/does/did+主語(yǔ)+動(dòng)詞原形

只有把工作做完后我才離開(kāi)。

Only after I finished my work I left.

Only after I finished my work did I leave.

提示

①not only…but also（不僅……而且）連接兩個(gè)對(duì)等的從句時(shí)，not only后用倒裝，但but also后的句子不倒裝，also應(yīng)置于句中或省略，或不用also，而在句尾加as well。

她不僅會(huì)唱歌而且還會(huì)跳舞。

Not only she can sing，but also she can dance.

Not only can she sing，but she can（also）dance.

②not同neither，nor連用。

He can't sing，nor I can.

He can't sing，nor can I.

他不會(huì)唱歌，我也不會(huì)。

=He can't sing，and neither can I.

③no sooner…than（一……就……）結(jié)構(gòu)要倒裝。

No sooner I had left than he came.

I had no sooner left than he came.

No sooner had I left than he came.
