618　slip，slide，slither，skid和glide

① slip （指走動時）滑跤，失足（slide out of place or fall by sliding）。

My foot slipped and I nearly fell. 我的腳滑了一下，差點兒摔倒了。

② slide （指在光滑的表面上平衡地）滑動，滑行（move smoothly over along a surface）。

A huge plane slid off an aerodrome runway. 一架巨型飛機滑離機場跑道。

③ slither不穩(wěn)地滑動，蜿蜒地滑行（slide unsteadily）。

The boy slithered along the icy road. 這個男孩沿著結(jié)了冰的道路連跌帶滑地走著。

The snake slithered into the weeds. 蛇游進了草叢。

④ skid （車輪剎住后的）滑行；（人或車等行進時因路面而向一側(cè)）打滑。

The car braked too quickly and went into a skid. 汽車剎車過急而向一側(cè)滑行了一段路。

⑤ glide滑行，滑翔（move noiselessly in a smooth，continuous manner，which seems easy and without effort）。

The boat glided （=slid）over the river. 船兒平滑地駛過河面。

They glided down to a perfect landing. 他們滑翔而下，著陸動作完善漂亮。
