591　rob和steal

① rob常用作及物動詞，意為“搶劫，掠奪”，常指盜賊使用暴力把財(cái)物從他人身上或從店鋪、銀行搶走，結(jié)構(gòu)為：

rob sb. of sth.

sb. be robbed of sth.

這種結(jié)構(gòu)中的of表示“分離，去掉”，可用于本結(jié)構(gòu)的動詞還有：rid，clear，relieve，drain，break，cure等。

He robbed the old man. 他搶劫了那位老人。

They robbed the bank in broad daylight. 他們在光天化日之下?lián)尳倭算y行。

The shop was robbed last night. 這家商店昨天夜里被搶劫了。

He robbed her of her money. 他搶了她的錢。

She was robbed of her money. 她的錢被搶了。

② steal可用作及物動詞和不及物動詞，指盜賊在事主不注意或不在場時“偷，盜，竊取”，結(jié)構(gòu)為：

steal sth. from sb./sth.

have sth. stolen

Someone has stolen her watch. 有人偷了她的手表。

He stole a TV set from the shop. 他從商店偷了一臺電視機(jī)。

Tom stole his family some bread. 湯姆為家人偷了一些面包。（可跟雙賓語）

I have had my bike stolen. 我的自行車被偷了。（=Someone has stolen my bike.）

提示

①snatch表示“奪，搶”，指突然地、急速地或乘人不備地奪取。

He snatched the bag from the woman. 他從那位婦女手里奪走了包。

②snatch at sth. 表示“對著某物抓過去”，有試圖抓著之義。

The climber snatched at the rope，but missed. 登山者試圖抓住繩子，但沒抓著。
