577　regret用法難點(diǎn)

① regret用作動(dòng)詞時(shí)，為及物動(dòng)詞，意為“感到懊悔，遺憾”，結(jié)構(gòu)為：

regret sth.

regret doing sth./having done sth.

regret+that從句

He regretted the choice he had made. 他為自己的選擇而懊悔。

She regretted selling the house. 她后悔賣(mài)了房子。

I regret that I shall not be able to come. 很遺憾，我不能來(lái)。

② regret還常用于下列句型中：

regret to say+that從句 遺憾地說(shuō)

regret to tell you+that從句 遺憾地告訴你

regret to inform you+that 從句 遺憾地通知你

I regret to say that you're wrong. 我遺憾地說(shuō)你錯(cuò)了。

I regret to tell you that I can't lend the money to you. 我很遺憾地告訴你，我不能把錢(qián)借給你。
