554　preservation，reservation，conservation和reserve

① preservation意為“保留，保存”，指往往經(jīng)過人為處理，有意識地保留，處理辦法如開辟自然保護(hù)區(qū)，限制排污、防腐、防凍等等。動詞為preserve。

② reservation意為“保留，不加動用”，如訂房間、訂貨都是保留下來以便用。動詞為reserve。

③ conservation是采取措施加以保護(hù)，不使受損或減少，不涉及今后用不用，也不限人工處理一種措施，側(cè)重在完整保存下來。動詞為conserve。

The conservation of wild life is beneficial to mankind in the long run. 從長遠(yuǎn)觀點(diǎn)看，保護(hù)野生資源對人類有益。
