77　ask，question，inquire和interrogate

① ask為一般用詞，表示“問，詢問”，期望對方給予回答，可替代question和inquire。

If you don't know the way，ask a policeman. 如果你不認(rèn)得路，就問警察。

She asked me what time it was. 她問我?guī)c(diǎn)鐘了。

② question表示“提問，詢問”，常指在教學(xué)或探索問題的過程中多次提出問題；question也可表示“審問，盤問，質(zhì)疑”。

He questioned his students on some problems in maths. 他向?qū)W生們問了一些數(shù)學(xué)問題。

The police questioned him about what he had done. 警察詢問他干了些什么。

③ inquire是較正式用語，指深入打聽某事或詢問某事的實(shí)際情況。

He inquired into the case. 他調(diào)查了那個(gè)案件。

She inquired what time the train would leave. 她詢問火車何時(shí)開出。

④ interrogate表示“訊問，審問”，正式而又系統(tǒng)性強(qiáng)。

The judge interrogated the criminal. 法官審問了罪犯。
