Police in Britain have identified the three men who went on the rampage at London Bridge on Saturday night, killing 7 people and injuring about 50. The attackers were shot dead by police, after mowing down their victims with a van and stabbing them at random inside pubs and restaurants. Britain's most senior anti-terrorism officer, Mark Rowley, said 8 special officers had fired an unprecedented 50 bullets at the men who were wearing fake suicide belts.

The police have made 12 arrests in East London, where they are continuing to search properties. They've also carried out controlled explosions. It's emerged that foreign nationals were among those killed. One was French, another Canadian. 36 of those injured are still in hospital, with 21 in a critical condition.
